Thrive in Nature™ Training, Licensing and Community
Thrive in Nature™ is the six‑move, evidence‑informed framework developed at Coree to support stressed and sensitive nervous systems using nature, movement and meaningful occupations. We now offer a pathway for Occupational Therapists and organisations to learn, license and implement this framework in their own services.
Who the Thrive in Nature™ Practitioner License is For
Occupational therapists working in disability, mental health, community, or private practice who want to bring structured nature‑based programs into their services.
Allied health leaders and service owners who want a scalable, participation‑focused model that aligns with NDIS and public health priorities.
Clinicians who are already using nature informally and want an evidence‑informed framework, outcome measures, and language to support funding and organisational buy‑in.
What You’ll Learn and Receive
The Thrive in Nature™ Practitioner License is a 6‑week hybrid CPD program and licensing pathway for occupational therapists and allied health leaders who want to deliver structured, evidence‑informed nature‑based participation programs.
Practitioners receive:
License to use the Thrive in Nature™ framework in their occupational therapy practice.
A structured 6‑week learning program (live and self‑paced) covering theory, implementation, safety and clinical reasoning for nature‑based practice.
Program manual and session structures for 1:1, group and community‑based work.
Outcomes and reporting templates aligned with disability and public health priorities, including NDIS language and participation-focused measures.
Proposal language and tools for working with organisations and government.
Access to an ongoing online community of Thrive in Nature™ practitioners for case discussion, reflective practice and peer support.
The program is designed to support Occupational Therapists to meet their CPD requirements through structured education, interactive sessions and reflective practice directly related to nature‑based and participation‑focused occupational therapy.
Program Format and Schedule
Duration: 6‑week blended program (live online sessions plus self‑paced learning).
Format: weekly live webinars or small‑group calls, on‑demand modules, and practical implementation tasks in your own context
Time commitment: approximately 2–3 hours per week across live sessions, self‑study and practice activities.
Investment and Payment
This investment includes the full Thrive in Nature™ framework, program manual, licensing rights for your practice, outcome/report templates, and ongoing community support, rather than a single workshop.
Payment plan: Available – deposit required to secure your place, with staged payments across the program period.
Intake size: Limited cohort places per intake to support interaction, supervision and tailored implementation support.
This investment reflects a complete framework, licensing rights, program manual, templates and ongoing community support, rather than a one‑off workshop.
Ongoing Community and Support
All licensed practitioners are invited into a private online community focused on:
Real‑world case discussions.
Implementation support and problem‑solving.
Sharing resources and examples.
Ongoing professional connection and reflective practice beyond the initial 6‑week program.
This community supports you to keep refining your nature‑based practice and to stay connected with others working in this space.

Publications: THRIVE in Nature – A Nervous System Map for Real People
Alongside the practitioner program, Shannon’s book Thrive in Nature™ – A Nervous System Map for Real People offers a practical guide for people with stressed and sensitive nervous systems who want to use nature, movement and everyday occupations to recover and grow.
The book can be:
Read by clients, families and support teams
Used by clinicians as a shared language and reference
Integrated into nature‑based programs and groups
Our services show how Thrive in Nature™ can sit within a multidisciplinary, nature‑based approach that addresses nervous system regulation, physical capacity, participation and connection.
